New Member InformationHow Our Club Works

The Quad Cities Executive Toastmasters is an open club
and is not just for executives. Our club is filled with people from all over the Quad Cities area that are at a variety of speaking levels.

At the Quad Cities Executives Toastmasters meeting you will learn how to effectively speak in public and practice those skills in a safe and supportive environment. The feedback you will receive will build your confidence while it points out where you need to improve.

Our nurturing environment helps you with your fear of public speaking and allows you to progress at your own pace through a program that's helped millions of  folks just like you.
Our club is part of the Toastmasters International network, which has over 11,000 clubs, and more than 220,000 members in countries all over the globe.

Toastmasters at a variety of skill levels!
What To Expect
Our new members receive a variety of manuals and resources on speaking.  At each meeting, everyone is given the opportunity to practice:

Conducting meetings. Meetings usually begin with a short business session, which helps members learn basic meeting procedures.

Presenting prepared speeches.
Two members present speeches based on projects from Toastmasters manuals. Prepared speeches are designed to give you a variety of exercises and experiences, such as organizing speeches, voice inflection, language, gestures and persuasion.

Giving impromptu speeches. Members present one to two minute impromptu speeches on assigned topics.

Sharing constructive evaluations. Every prepared speaker is assigned an evaluator who prepares an assessment of the speaker's performance. This evaluator points out strengths and offers suggestions for improvement.
Bring out your global potential!
Start improving your communication and leadership skills today. Bring out your global potential and see where your bold new future takes you. Attend the next Quad Cities Executive Toastmasters meeting and see what the club has to offer.
